They would then be filed and added on record in the Colonial Secretary's Department, and be useful for all purposes of reference hereafter.

I am still without any official explanation of the proceedings of the "Haughty" on the cruise from which she returned on the day of departure of the last mail, towing a Junk supposed to have been captured by Pirates, but which I believe is connected simply with a case of disputed ownership. In such matters I should be glad to be furnished officially with the details which are within your own knowledge. I have long since directed the Police Authorities, when reporting any
